Home Spice Décor rolled out a new look.

Home Spice
Catalog redesign helped unique carpet brand stand out
even more.

CHALLENGE

HomeSpice Décor, a maker of decorative rugs, wanted to abandon the B2B feel of its previous retailer-focused catalogs. Instead, they asked for a piece that would inspire customers to select one of their creative rugs.

SOLUTION

Soloflight designed a catalog around magazine-quality photography that demonstrated the beauty the right rug can bring to a home. To make the piece more customer friendly, we also divided the catalog into user-focused sections like "Your Style," "Your Accessories" and "Your Needs." Additionally, we employed handwritten typography and short captions to coach the reader on design decisions he or she could consider in his or her own home.

RESULTS

The non-traditional horizontal layout of the catalog was well-received, and the client was pleased with the revised structure and attention to creativity. Shortly after this project, HomeSpice Décor asked Soloflight Design rethink its direct marketing and in-store presence as well.
